Interpretation: Fragments from a Psalter and Breviary written in England in the first quarter of the fifteenth century. A five-line initial 'D', pink with white highlights on a gold ground, acanthus infilling, a bar painted blue and gold ascending and descending from the initial that spreads into horizontal sprays at top and bottom, with gold bezants and rounded trefoil or kidney-shaped leaves arrayed symmetrically above and below the stem.
