Selwyn 6: From J. Sargent.

In 1751, Selwyn's father and elder brother died and he succeeded to the family property, Matson, on Robin Hood's Hill overlooking the City of Gloucester and the River Severn that had been in the family's possession since 1547.

The only references that I can find for J. Sargent in any of the numerous New Broad Streets around the country at this time are either grocers or wine merchants. If it is one of these then I would place a bet on a wine merchant! However, I do not know. If any viewer has any firm knowledge on the subject, please let me know.

Your most obedient Servt

J. Sargent
